Warden macros

Heals over time with nature magic and provides group movement speed and utility.

17 macros

  • /target Tankname
    /assist

Targets a named player and picks up whatever they are fighting. Keeps a whole group on one target without anybody calling it out loud.

  • /shout Contested up at the tower, need bodies

Broadcasts to everyone nearby. Still how open-world contested spawns get organised on the older servers.

  • /camp Altname

Camps straight to a named character rather than going back through the select screen. A real time saver for anyone running crafting alts.

  • /useabilityonplayer Tankname "Reinforcement VI"

Casts an ability directly on a named player without changing your target. This is the closest thing EQ2 has to a mouseover heal and it is invaluable for support classes.

  • /who templar

Lists who is nearby, filterable by class and level. The fastest way to find a healer when your group loses one.

  • /g Incoming pull
/r Stack for the area effect

Posts to your group with /g or the whole raid with /r. Raid leaders live in /r, and pairing a call-out with the ability it describes is the most useful macro pattern in the game.

  • /useability "Nature's Renewal"
    /g Regen is up

Applies your group heal over time and announces it, so people know the ticking is covered and can keep moving.

  • /target_narrow gnoll

target_narrow matches a partial name and picks the nearest match, which is far more reliable than plain /target in a room full of similarly named trash.

  • /useability "Taunt"
/g Taunting - hold your damage

The rule that shapes every EQ2 macro: there is no wait command, so a second ability on the next step simply never fires. Pair one ability with as many chat, target and pet commands as you like.

  • /pet attack
    /pet backoff
    /pet follow
    /pet stay

The pet states summoner classes switch between constantly. All four are plain commands rather than abilities, so they can share a single macro or sit on separate keys.

  • /gu Anyone need a crafter for tradeskill writs?

Posts to guild chat with /gu. EQ2 guilds have levels and status, so guild chat carries more weight here than in most games.

  • /do_file_commands setup.txt

Reads a plain text file of commands from your EQ2 folder and runs them in order. The one way to share a setup between characters, since macros themselves are per character.

Other EQ2 classes

Every class shares the same macro syntax, so a good idea usually ports across.
