Dark Age of Camelot · class

Reaver macros

A dark hybrid using flails and levelled damage-over-time curses.

17 macros

  • /macro Siege /groundassist Siegeleader

Copies the ground target of a named player so a whole line of catapults fires at the same spot. This is how organised keep sieges actually work.

  • /macro MA /assist Mainassist

Targets a named player and picks up whatever they are attacking. Eight-player groups in the frontier live on this, because focus fire wins fights.

  • /qbind 1 2 2

Maps a keyboard key to a specific quickbar page and slot, which is how a macro gets fired without clicking it. The three numbers are page, slot and bar.

  • /gc Keep is under attack at Caer Benowyc
    /g Regroup at the milegate

DAoC separates guild chat, group chat and the realm-wide advice channel. /gc is guild, /g is group, and knowing them saves fumbling in a fight.

  • /realm

Prints your realm rank and points. Realm rank is the long-term progression that keeps people in the frontier for years, so people check it often.

  • /macro Stick /stick

Makes a labelled icon on your first free quickbar slot that runs the command after the name. The name has to be short because it has to fit on the icon.

  • /macro Face /face

Instantly turns your character to face whatever you have selected. Essential for casters, who cannot cast at something they are not facing.

  • /who cleric 45 50

Lists players online, filterable by class and level range. The standard way to find a healer for a frontier group.

  • /macro Inc /g Incoming enemy group!

Posts a fixed message to your group. Keep one per common call — incoming, mez, speed — because typing them out in a fight is not realistic.

  • /macro Attack /pet attack
    /macro Back /pet passive

The pet orders that summoner classes need on a bar. Theurgists, Bonedancers and Animists all live on these, and the pet window is too slow in a fight.

  • /macro Rel /release

Releases your character after death and sends you to your bind stone. In the frontier this decision is time-critical, so it belongs on a button.

  • /macro GT /groundset

Places a ground target for area spells and siege equipment. Ground-targeted siege is the backbone of keep warfare and needs to be quick.

Other DAoC classes

Every class shares the same macro syntax, so a good idea usually ports across.
